Sprout Social™ may request information from you during the registration process including, but not limited to: name, email address, company name and address, phone number, payment information, and/or social media profile information and authorization. Sprout Social™ may request other information from You during or after the registration process that Sprout Social™ uses to provide better and more customized services to Users. You acknowledge that this information is personal to You, and by creating an account on Sprout Social™, You may allow others, including Sprout Social™, to identify You and to allow Sprout Social™ to use Your information in accordance with the Terms.
We collect information when You interact with Sprout Social’s customer service in order to accurately categorize and respond to customer inquiries and investigate breaches of Our terms.

Information Collected Automatically
We may allow authorized third parties to place or recognize a unique cookie on Your browser. Sprout Social™ does not store unencrypted personally identifiable information in the cookies.
Log files, IP Addresses and information about Your computer and mobile device
Due to the communications standards on the internet, when You visit the Site We automatically receive the URL of the site from which You came and the site to which You are going when You leave Sprout Social’s Site. Sprout Social™ also receives the internet protocol (“IP”) address of Your computer (or the proxy server You use to access the World Wide Web), Your computer operating system and type of web browser You are using, email patterns, Your mobile device (including Your UDID or Vendor Identification) and mobile operating system (if You are accessing the Site using a mobile device), as well as the name of Your ISP or Your mobile carrier. Sprout Social™ may also receive location data passed to it from third-party services or GPS-enabled devices that You have enabled. Also, as described above in Section 1.D. Sprout Social™ receives information when You access third-party web pages through the Service. The link between Your IP address and Your personally identifiable information is not shared with third parties without Your permission, except as described in Section 8. (“When We May Disclose Your Information”), below.

Sprout Social™ uses and/or intends to use Personally Identifiable Information to:

- Provide Users with the Service and other products and services that a User may request or that a User has expressed interest in;

Use of Aggregate Data
Sprout Social™ may combine information You provide through the Site with information from other users to create aggregate data that may be disclosed to third parties. Aggregate information does not contain Your personal contact information.
When We May Disclose Your Information
We do not share Personally Identifiable Information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may disclose your information, including Personally Identifiable Information, for the following purposes:

Access, Correction and Deletion of Personally Identifiable Data

EU – US Privacy Shield
Sprout Social has self-certified to the US – EU Privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the United States Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of Personally Identifiable Information obtained from European Union member countries. Sprout Social has certified that its processing of Personally Identifiable Information from EU member countries and the European Economic Area is in accordance with the Privacy Shield Principles of Notice, Choice, Accountability for Onward Transfer, Security, Data Integrity and Purpose Limitation, Access, and Recourse, Enforcement and Liability (the “Principles”). You may view our certification at https://www.privacyshield.gov/list. Sprout Social is subject to the investigatory and enforcement authority of the Federal Trade Commission.
Information We Process. We collect, in accordance with the Privacy Shield principles, the categories of information described in Section 1 (Information Collected) above. We process this information for the purposes described in Sections 4 (Use of Personally Identifiable Information), 6 (Market Research) and 7 (Use of Aggregate Data).
Accessing Personally Identifiable Information. The Privacy Shield Principles provide individuals located in the EU whose Personally Identifiable Information we process with the right to access their Personally Identifiable Information in order to review, correct, amend or delete information processed under the Principles. EU individuals that are Sprout customers who would like to access their Personally Identifiable Information may contact us at
email@example.com. If your Personally Identifiable Information was provided to Sprout Social by one of our customers (where Sprout Social serves as a data processor), you should contact our customer directly to access your information.
Transfers to Third Parties. As described in Section 8 (When We May Disclose Your Information) above, we transfer Personally Identifiable Information from the EU to our third party data processors. We contractually require third parties to which we transfer Personally Identifiable Information to provide the same level of protections as the Principles. Sprout Social remains responsible for the Personally Identifiable Information we receive and transfer under Privacy Shield.
In accordance with our legal obligations, we also may transfer, subject to a lawful request, Personally Identifiable Information to public authorities in the US or the EU for law enforcement or national security purposes.
